Frugal Friday~

Welcome to this week's edition of Frugal Friday!  So glad you came by...

Last week's party was chock full of inspiration (as usual)...let's start with the Fan Favorite.

Just a note about the Fan Favorite...the winner of Fan Favorite is the post that receives the most "likes".  I think the "like" feature might confuse some Frugal Friday visitors.  It is not the same as "liking" something on Facebook.  It is simply a way for you, the reader, to vote for those posts that you think are particularly good.  And you can vote as many times as you like.  So say you visit 10 different posts and think every one fo them is fabulous...you can "like" all 10 of them!  That's it.  It's just a fun way to get Frugal Friday readers  more involved with the party.  Soooooo after that uber-long explanation...

The Fan Favorite for last week was Liz Marie who shared how to make homemade chalk paint.  With chalk paint taking the DIY world by storm, this is definitely a post worth checking out.

Now on to my Frugal Round-up...

First, I loved this DIY Pedestal Bowl from My Covered Bridge.  Such a great idea!

Teal & Lime shared her DIY Captains Mirrors.  I'm bookmarking this one.  Love them.

Design Fluff created a fab no-sew West Elm Origami Pillow knock-off. Yes, I did say "no-sew"!

Finally, Potholes & Pantyhose shared her incredible Master Bath makeover.  (You know I'm partial to dark gray walls...and that horse is the perfect touch of whimsy.)

Now it's your turn...

You know "da rules"!

1. Please link directly to your post and not just to your blog.
2. Please link back the Shabby Nest (you can use the pretty new button on my side bar to make it easy.)
3. Please visit other participants and leave them comments! Help them feel "the love!" And don't forget to "like" your favorite posts so they can become the "FAN FAVORITE!"

Wendy,

Thank you so much for featuring my Captains Mirrors. It was a lovely surprise. I just spent the last hour hanging them up in their new home and I am in love with them. I will be sharing the finished mirror gallery tomorrow.
