This post is going to be a bit picture-heavy. I have a hard time editing out photos I love...plus that's what we all really love about blogs anyway, right? So off we go...
I talked and talked about finding bunkbeds for the boys. I love what we ended up with...espresso brown, substantial, and a steal because we bought the floor model from a warehouse store. Again, I say, I love them. Now we just have to get the matching trundle for Boy #3 so he can join his brothers in here.
On the other side of the room is the striped wall. I am so in love with the bold stripes and the rich blue. The expedit bookcase is perfect turned on its side to give the boys extra toy storage, and I adore the deer head... (more on that in a bit.)
Here's the green dresser. I'm so glad I chose to paint it this wonderful shade of green! It gives the room some real pep!! And the "B" wall? I couldn't be happier with how that turned out.
So on to the deer head...it's from Cardboard Safari. I wanted something whimsical that "screamed" boy! What better than a "mounted" cardboard deer head? To give it some presence in the room - and to give the room some rustic warmth - we put it on a board we made from an upcycled palette that we got for free on the side of the road.
I love the look of the globes against the striped wall...and my little boys are especially in love with the tiny, vintage piggy-bank versions which Boy #2 calls his "penny planets". If you look closely, you can also see their special "rock collection" proudly displayed around the base of the lamp. Of course, Boy #1's lego Hogwarts Express also finds a place of honor here.
Back to the bunkbeds...finding just the right bedding was a bit of a challenge. I really wanted something neutral in color that looked like linen. I lucked into these duvets at IKEA. They are perfect!
The green pillow cases also came from IKEA and just happen to be the exact color of the dresser. The sconce on the wall is another IKEA find. And the cute bicycle pillows came from HomeGoods.
Here's that sweet green dresser and the "B" wall again. The globe is vintage and was a gift from my mother. "I love you to the moon and back" is the way Boy #2 and I say "I love you" to one another. The sign was gifted to me by my lovely bloggy friend Leslie of Glitter and Bliss.
Hope you enjoyed this little tour of my boys' room!!
Have a great day~

It's beautiful! I love the striped wall!
We have a 'B' wall in our living room (really, it's B's). Ours are all painted black. I love your version.
Indy has that same duvet on his bed. Very simple and neutral. He also has the Expedit shelves turned on their side. Brilliant for storage. I like your buckets. I may have to steal that idea.
We're getting ready to move (if the Army ever gs their act together) so I'm going to be decorating a room again! Yay! Actually 2 rooms as Han Solo will finally get his own nursery. I'm going to have to pin you for future reference. Thanks for sharing!
Oh, and the Hogwarts Express will be winging its way to our house this Christmas and I'm sure it to will take pride of place along with the Hogwarts Castle (also coming at Christmas).
Great colors! Your boys must be super excited about their new digs.

Beautifully done! Lots of awesome colors and textures. I can't help but love that bicycle pillow, too. :)
Looks amazing!!! I love everything about it! Especially the strong hits of green and navy, and the masculine but playful feel.
I love this room! Not only does it work for younger children but it will work all the into adulthood! Don't you just love Ikea for their duvets and affordability?!? I know we do... even if it does mean driving 3 hours one way. :)
Once again you did a wonderful job!
Looks great!! What lucky boys!
I know how you feel about revealing the room even though you know you'll add a few more accents and little things like that. I am doing the same thing with my nursery 'reveal'! :)

Love, love, love this room. So warm but friendly to kiddos. It's hard to get a room that is lovely but still will encourage the kiddos to call it their own.
DARLING room!
What a great room! It's bright and bold and fun!

Love the pops of green, and the bicycle covers are awesome!
great work :)
Great room! I need to redo my sons room and upgrade to the big boy look from a nursery and I'm struggling with color choices and decor. This is really nicely done. Thanks for sharing.
The room looks great!! Cannot wait for the 'Deer Head' post :)
oh wowza. I absolutely love everything about this room. It's all so stylish and yet, so personal as well- like the "I love you..." sign. My son and I say that as well, and what a lovely touch to be hanging on the wall. I'm a huge fan of that deer head as well- I just purchased the one from Z Gallerie for our master (although my hubs isn't as much of a fan of it as I am!) Thank you so much for sharing your spaces with us! So inspiring!
I love it. All of it!! I especially fond of the blue and white striped wall!! Well done!
I love it! I have been trying to figure out what color to paint my son's dresser. It needs some TLC. I love the green you chose. Although that will not work with his bedding, I think a bold colored dresser just might be the way to go!
It's perfect! I love all of it!
'i love you to the moon and back' aww now doesn't that just make the room something special :) and I am in love with that striped wall!!
Tina
Love love love!! Thanks for sharing!!
This room is amazing!! Really love the stripes, and the animal head on rough wood is something I had thought about lately... so it's great to see that it looks so great!!! Good job!
This room is fantastic! I can't imagine any boy (big or little) that wouldn't love this! (And that green dresser...to die for color on that piece!) Nice Work.
This room IS amazing!! I have three boys, and two of them share a room. It doesn't look nearly as fabulous as this one ; ) Love love LOVE the "B" wall and the quote painting. That book was the theme of the nursery for my firstborn. The deer head on the pallet boards, and the globes...two thumbs way up!

there is not one thing I don't love! beautiful room
I am so crazy-in love with that striped wall! It looks nuts against that pallet and black cubby cabinet. We say that at our house to, but end up trying to one up each other and someone ends up lovin the other to pluto and back! The room is just amazing!
It is everything a boys' room should be!
Room looks great! Love that cardboard deer head! One of our custom initial rugs in navy & lime would be perfect in that room! Check it out www.creativecarpetdesign.com
I LOVe this room! My boys share a room too but it is so overrun with toys. Do your boys keep toys in their room?
Any toy storange solutions?
Very nice Wendy! I don't know how I missed this when it came out. I love the green dresser! The dressers my boys have are white and I know I MUST paint them - but its scary to go bold! btw, I'd love for you to link this at Tuesday's Nursery next week. The party is for all ages of kids decor. Have a great weekend!
Found this wonderful boys room from the inspired room. Great job! It can be challenging to integrate mom's style and the kids!
Love it! Love the striped wall, the dark wood, the metal bins, the pop of green!-EVERYTHING! Thanks for sharing
I love this inspiring room! I'm working on my 7 year old son's room now, and this is terrific! Can I ask what is the name of the linen duvet cover set from Ikea?
I absolutely love this room! Great job!!!
