I have always been intrigued with the idea of using a beautiful old piece of furniture as a bathroom vanity. This week on Houzz I've shared a collection of inspiring bathroom vanities all created from furniture pieces...some old, some new, all unique. Bye bye builder grade bathroom!

Happy Valentines! Thank you for the best Valentine card-idea. I just posted my version of it and linked your blogg. Lovely bathroom!
My mom did that in her bathroom, I will try to find a picture of it, or take a new one! The piece is amazing, however I do not care for the actualy faucet she chose.... ohwell.
This is a look that adds so much character to a bathroom, off to check out your Ideabook....Janell
That sure did make the bathroom more interesting. It's sometimes hard to think out of the box. Thanks for sharing!

I love it! Thanks for the inspiration.
That is great! I just bought a new bathroom vanity that has a furniture look, but to actually use an old desk, genius.
My wife and I looked into doing something like this in our bathroom but we couldn't find a great looking desk. We searched high and low but we also had some time constraints seeing that our only bathroom was somewhat out of commission until we got a vanity. In the end we bought one that we like but I still wonder what if......
Great post!
Cheers,
Matt

We have re-done all 3 of our tiny bathrooms in our house. I so wish I had thought to do something like this, but alas, it wasn't anything I'd even seen until after we finished the last one. domesticdeadline.blogspot.com
I have just recently renovated my bathroom and used a beautiful old french cupboard as my vanity - I removed the top and replaced it with ceasarstone and then a basin on top. Such a great idea and way cheaper than the ugly modern vanities that are popular now.
