I'm sure by now you've all heard about the collaboration between John Derian and Target. Well, I have been waiting on pins and needles to go to my local Target and see the pieces in person. I had been to my local Target a few times since the official release date on September 5 and didn't see anything, then yesterday as I ran into the store to pick up a few essentials for my invalid hubby, I ran across an endcap chock full of John Derian goodies.

My budget is next to nil right now, so I really didn't have much to spend. Luckily, the pieces are very well priced! Just a note: they are melamine...not ceramic...but that's okay by me.
I had my eye on these fun bug plates ever since the first press releases started popping up online. Now, I must tell you they are VERY small...almost like saucers, but that was just perfect for what I had in mind. I grabbed myself a cute dragonfly plate for $1.99 and a matching tumbler. They now have a home on my bathroom counter to hold a few essentials.

Nice stuff. Some of it reminds me of some of what the Graphics Fairy has available.

I purchased the three-tiered tray and love it---very whimsical pattern! It contains the fresh fruit on my counter top. Kudos to Target on another successful partnership. And thanks for reminding me that I may need to make a second trip back to pick up some more John Derian goodies! :) As if I need another excuse to go to Target...
Oh no Target is trouble! SO cute Wendy! I am off to Tar-gaay tom! :)
Lovely pieces! I especially love tray
Love me some Target! I go every week!
Oh wow, love the bug plates and im all melamine at home, we eat our dinner on melamine plates, so this is right up my street, could do with some little ones to use as dip plates just the right size by the sounds of it. Im off to Tarjay straight away. Have a wonderful week.

Those are the cutest plates! I live 2 miles from Target (very dangerous) and I'm in the store a few times a day. I will have to stop by yet again today and have a look for those beauties!

Thank you for showing the John Derian. Love what you did in your bathroom! Great idea!!!
I love the coasters at the top. They would match my bedroom perfectly! I believe I have a few other items I need to return to Target, which means I'll have a little 'free' money to spend!
Thanks!

I saw these last weekend when I was in there and loved them! I didn't know who they were by...I just thought they were pretty. And the prices were good!
Oh my I've been trying to avoid these cause I know that I will not be able to resist buying some ;)
Oh, I love the botanical plates! I have to admit, eating on bug plates freaks me out a bit though.

I just want you to know that you are a wicked woman, lol. I have never heard of this John, but I am so in love with everything you showed. I too am financially embarassed and will have to wait till I have more money in my purse before I check out my Target for his things.
