20~

This weekend was my 20 year high school reunion. I really find it hard to believe that it has been that long since I graduated. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go or not, but, in the end, my curiosity got the better of me.

It's been a long time since I've seen anyone from high school because the hubby and I have been living out of state for the past 7 years. So it was all a bit surreal. I must admit, however, that most of my classmates have aged really well. I hope that I look as young as most of them. ;-)

The hubby and me at the reunion (thanks for the pic, Chris!)

I'm glad I got a chance to visit with some of my oldest friends (and by oldest, I mean those I've known the longest) and catch up on their lives, their kids, their careers. It was a bit unnerving though. People I knew so well, who are now more like acquaintances. Kind of nostalgic, but a little sad too.

On a lighter note, I love my kickin' shoes from TJMaxx. They made the whole night worth it. (Yeah, I'm deep like that.) I'm thinking I might skip out on the 30th reunion, however. I guess it remains to be seen whether my curiosity gets the better of me...again.

Did you attend your high school reunion? Do you plan to?

Have a great day~

We haven't had a reunion yet, but I definitely plan to go. Hubby's 5 year reunion will be next year, but I don't know if we will attend. I love the shoes and I think you look great!

My 10 year reunion is this September. I was really looking forward to it since our graduating class was only 55 people. However, we will be on vaction that weekend. I'll have to get the scoop (and gossip-hehe) from my best friend. :)

I mirror your reservations. My 20th is this October (October!?!) My decision was made when the BP Oil spill interfered with the reunion location and therefore the date of the reunion. Alas, we have a pre-paid vacation scheduled for the new date.

However, if I had rockin shoes like that, I might have to slap a "hello my name is..." tag on them and send them as my proxy cause' I am deep like that too. :-)

Love the shoes! I went to my 10 year reunion. My 20 year reunion will be in 3 years. I don't know if I will go or not.

Nope! Not yet anyway. I've been out 13 years now and I'm 100% ok with it---I didn't go to 5 or 10 yrs. I only regret losing contact with 2 of the best friends I had. We just grew apart. But as far as going back to the others, ummmm, not so much. We moved back to my hometown so I see them here and there. I DEFINITELY don't miss high school! lol

First off, cute shoes! My 20th reunion is next year. Ack! I went to my 15th and loved it. I've seen a few of my friends over the years (I don't live near any of them, with James Bond being in the military), and we stay in touch via email, phone calls and facebook. There were only 48 girls in my graduating class (I went to an all girls school) so it's not like there are tons of us. I'm actually friends with almost all of them on FB and we keep up with each other that way. Still, I can't wait to see them all in person next year.

My 20th reunion is next year. It does not seem like it could be 20 years since 1991 but it has been.

I only went to my 15th reunion and since high school was not my favorite time, I am not sure I want to go to the 20th.

Wendy, sorry to use your Shabby Nest for a note but I tried to FB you and I remembered you saying you don't get to check it very often. I need your address. We are planning a surprise annviersary thing for my parents.

Fantastic shoes are a MUST for any reunion!!!! Love them!!!!! It's not shallow either!!! I haven't lived near my HS to attend so it's never been an option... i'd love to be a fly on the wall to just see but not sure i'd want to go.

My 20th is in two weeks. I would love to go but have a family reunion that same weekend that I already said I would attend. There were 13 in my graduating class, yes, you read that right, thirteen! My bff from school is still my bff, even though we went separate ways for quite a few years while starting our careers/families. We talk nearly every day now and visit each other as often as we can. Really cute shoes btw!

Love your TJ Maxx shoes!!!

My 10 year is coming up in a couple years and I am so excited to see everyone! I am still very close with my hs girlfriends, but I will be so excited to see everyone else.

Glad you had a good time and went!

My 20 year reunion is next year. I will probably go, it's in another state. Thanks to Facebook these days, there is not as much mystery about what those classmates are up to.

Hubby's 20 years was this year. We did not go. Too far away and he wasn't interested.

I love the shoes. Haven't been to any reunions - too far away. Would love to see the whole outfit!
You guys make such a cute couple.
Blessings!

The shoes are adorable - no wonder they put a spring in your step :) I did attend our 20th reunion a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Now that I have been active on Facebook for a couple of years and have reconnected there with so many people from HS, I can honestly say I'm looking forward to the 30th reunion - which is NEXT YEAR already! Heck I know some of them better now that we are FB friends than I ever did back in school.

Shoes are presh!

I attended my 10 year and that was enough for me. Skipped the 20th. But good for you for going!

I didn't go to mine, but hubby and I had a photography business for a while and did group pictures for class reunions. They were mostly 20 year reunions which were close to our age and a lot of fun. We did one 10 year and that was kinda wild, but the 30 and 40 year were slow and quiet!

Skipped my 20th - I kept in touch with anyone that mattered to me. Several friends went and said most people did not change, the stuck up ones were still rude, friends were still fun to talk to etc.

Those shoes!!! Love...and I've never been to any type of reunion. I rarely get back to the town I went to H.S., last time was 8 years ago. Running into old classmates then was truly surreal...Janell

The date has been set for our 10 year reunion next year. I cant believe its been so long either! I am definitely planning on attending. I live about 2 hours from where I grew up so I dont really see anyone either.
