The moving van is due to arrive on Saturday. We are in the midst of last minute packing. I am not stressed out. I am not stressed out. I am not stressed out.
As I sit and look at this picture, it reminds me of those "I Spy" board books that my kiddos have. Can you find...my well-read wreath? A vintage American flag? A rarely used crockpot? The flowers from The Princess' Nutcracker debut last Saturday?
It's interesting to see your life compressed into just a couple of rooms. Puts things in perspective. And packing up a house to move makes me realize just how blessed I am. I complain a lot as I pack box after box...but at least I have stuff to pack. Blessings. Lots of them. And that's what this season is all about.
Don't forget Friday is The Holiday Edition of the Frugal Friday Linky Party here at the Shabby Nest! Get those posts ready!! Can't wait to see what you all come up with this time!
Have a lovely day~

Good luck with your move. Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas, I love your blog.
Well let me just say, I am glad that I'm not the only one with a DR like that!! LOL! I love your blog and I'm going to make the silhouette ornaments too!

I forgot to add that I'm not even moving until next year! So your WAYYY ahead of me :)
Ha ha. I hope the move goes well for you!
Okay, you win. Moving and Christmas? Not even I have tried that one.
Christmas, moving... either way you'll be surrounded by packages, filled with things you love!
=) Thanks for this pick-me-up post. My dining table is still a mess and figure I'll get one day of it looking pretty before my boys destroy it!
This looks like our house! We are closing less than 2 weeks after Christmas...and we are still trying to find the right place to move in to before that happens! The count down is on! Good luck with the rest of your packing!

it still looks good to me!!!

Rarely used crockpot?? I love mine! Can't wait to see your new home with everything unpacked! What a way to ring in the new year!
I laughed when I saw your post about your dining room. It has to be stressful moving over Christmas. But at least you have an excuse for how your dining room looks - mine looks worst than yours and we aren't moving! Our old TV cabinet is sitting between our foyer and dinning room. All my Christmas storage boxes are in the dining room. I cleaned up around everything as best as I could and partially set a Christmas tablescape. Now if I could repeat what you said: 'I will not be stressed out. I will not be stressed out...."

good job on keeping the perspective...by the way...it looks very organized, my moves have never looked so pretty, jules
Wishing you the best of luck with your move. Can't wait to see your new home. We moved to the home we live in now at Christmas time.♥
Good luck with your move :) We can't wait to move out of here someday soon I hope! We're busting out the seams.
I completely feel for you! My house looks the same way! I am living out of boxes until the moving truck comes Sunday! The day can't come soon enough! Hope everything goes smoothly!
Wendy,
Good luck with the move. I really enjoy your blog and can't wait to see how you decorate your next home. I may have missed it, did your house sell or are you moving before you sell? Are you buying a new or old home? I don't mean to be nosy, but I guess I am a little :) Whoever buys your home will be very lucky!
Happy Holidays,
Sam
I hope the move goes very smoothly! Just keep your mantra going.. I am not stressed. :)
A few years ago all of our worldly belongings were stored in a the garage and a couple of rooms in the house. Yes, it does give one some perspective.
My heart goes out to you. Moving is soooo much work. I will be quite happy to stay put for a while. Good luck with everything!
haha hang in there!!!
