Why I love to Blog~

With a title like that, this post could be book-length. But today I just want to share one of the reasons I love blogging so much. And that is....inspiring my readers to beautify their homes!

Last week I got an email from one of my readers...Tiffany at Happy Day. She thanked me for my blog and for inspiring her to personalize her home. She shared me with me a post that she was working on, because it was inspired by my mini-mudroom.

This is my mini-mudroom. If you haven't had a chance to read about it, here's the link.

Tiffany had this "architectural feature" in her home that she just couldn't decide what to do with.

Until one day, when she hit upon the idea of using the idea she saw here to create her own mini-mudroom.

How fabulous is this???

I was so excited when I saw what she had done, I emailed her right back to ask if I could share it with my readers. There is nothing more gratifying than knowing that someone has been inspired to create something wonderful by one of my posts. Thanks for sharing this with me Tiffany!

If you'd like to see Tiffany's entire post, here's the link!
Have a great Wednesday~

Hey girl! I wanted to share my friend's blog with you. The top two projects look like something you'd enjoy seeing! You inspired her with your ribbon drawers too! http://chocolatemonday.blogspot.com/2009/11/i-my-bathroom.html

Hi Wendy,

First of all, let me say that I love your mini-mudroom and still have the magazine it was in.. and I'm so impressed that your idea was published. Secondly, I've been trying to come up with an idea for my full-size living room closet because the sliding doors keep falling off and typical closets are such a waste of space... of course you've inspired me but I would have to hire someone to do the work and this isn't my forever house.. so I have to watch what I invest. Thirdly, I love Tiffany's great idea as well.. so nice when you can inspire others. Keep up the great work!

Okay - I am totally jealous of BOTH of your mini-mudrooms! They look great! I love that wood that she used and the hooks - perfection. I am super new to your blog, but I am finding myself loving it more and more every day. Thank you!

Oh wow! I love both the mini-mudrooms! What an excellent idea for such a strange "architectural feature". Wonder what the original intent for that "feature" was.

Thank you again, Wendy! I have no idea what the original intention for the nook was, but am so glad that I ran into your blog and found the perfect solution!

Thank you for sharing it on your blog. I am honored. You have made my day.

How wonderful! You inspired me as well. I saw your mini-mudroom a while back and used your idea to turn an awkward coat closet right next to the door leading out to my garage into my mini-mudroom. I papered the inside of the closet with a tailored stripe contact paper (it's what I had!) and added hooks with painted initials above for each family member. Then I upholstered a wood board for seating and placed a rattan basket underneath for shoes. finally I took off the closet door and added, what seems like, instant square footage to my home. I've had so many complements on it- thanks to your original wonderful idea!

I have been blogging for years with my own "family" blog, but I do so much with my house, why not blog about that and give others ideas they can do too!
Love your blog, so cute! I will add it to my blog links. Come check me out if you have time

I found your blog last week and was welcomed with your mini mudroom, I loved it..so I went home and did this project over the weekend. I had a closet that was only 10 inches in depth..not sure what the purpose of this was..but it made a really cute nook!! Thanks for the great idea!
