I have had so much positive feedback on my dining room restaging (and so many questions from readers) that I thought I'd share with you all a few of the details.
First and foremost, because we chose a neutral palette, texture was key! I used a burlap runner on the table, along with burlap, linen and canvas pillows.

And yes, for those of you who asked, my new curtains are painter's dropcloths. I love the heavy weight....they hang perfectly when left straight, or drape beautifully if pulled back.

Just a reminder today is the last day for the Shabby Nest Summer Sale...still some great deals left....hurry over!

My centerpiece is made from a seemingly mismatched bunch of random things...but it works together beautifully and adds a subtle touch of color.
Remove the color, and look how the textures play off of one another...the heavy details of the sphere, the smooth surface of the footed bowl, the earthiness of the wreath and the intricate metal work of the tray. A feast for the eyes!

Hope you all have a lovely July 4th weekend~

I love it! Doesn't it make you want to stay in your house now? haha
I have a blog question for you if you have time to answer. Do you schedule your posts? I have tried to schedule my posts and it says "scheduled" in my post list but they don't post on their own. What am I doing wrong?

I love it! I'm planning to try my hand at a burlap table runner soon...nervous b/c I've never measured/cut/sewn anything all on my own before. :)
Hey Carmen! I just posted yesterday that I am having the same problem, and one of my readers commented that apparently it is a blogger-wide problem, so you're not doing anything wrong, and hopefully they'll get it fixed (especially before I go on vacation!)
Love the drop cloth curtains! Great idea! Your dining room looks amazing and those pillows.

And Elyse: I've been to Brimfield several times now....you are in for a treat!! Be prepared to walk...a lot!
I also love your restaging however am wondering what you did with a cute little bee pillow you used to have on your window seat? It was so sweet! Becki

Great job, I love everything about it!
Hi Becki:
It's still there. ;-)
Love the room and the centerpiece is gorgeous!! Can I ask where you got the image for your bee pillow. I would love to make chandelier shades with a bee image for my friend in Cali?
