Fashion for the Under-4 Set~

Okay, so today I'm departing from my home decor emphasis and getting back to my fashion roots. (I bet you didn't know I had any roots...let alone "fashion" roots. ) Actually, my degree is in Fashion Merchandising, but I digress.

Today, I bring you Fashion as defined by my Toddler Demolition Team...Mr. Two and Mr. Three. These two have a very unique sense of "style". Basically, it boils down to: wear whatever you can find until mommy gets a hold of you...then you may have to suffer with matching clothes. Ha!

Mr. Two loves to wear his rainboots with everything...notice in this photo it is sunny...no water anywhere...but he definitely looks happenin'.
And speaking of shoes...I know you probably can't tell very well in this photo, but Mr. Three is wearing mismatched crocs (both left shoes) and not only are they mismatched, but they both belong to the Princess...hence the flowers and the pink. Mr. Two is wearing his older brother's crocs...about three or four sizes too big for him (but at least they match).
Then there is the ever-fashionable raincoat with jammy bottoms.
And finally, I had to throw the last one in just because I actually really love the little embroidered doggies on these shorts...oh so preppy.
Kids! You gotta love 'em!
Have a great weekend~

Love it!!! My son loves to wear 3 or 4 shirts at one time along with mismatched socks and two or three pairs of pants. According to Love and Logic that's an affordable mistake!!!

I love this post! My 4yo would wear the craziest outfits if he could get away with it. His favorite clothing item? Tacky Cars socks. That are super-bright and do not match anything in his closet. Gotta love it.

You gotta love toddler fashion!! :) I have two budding fashionistas at my house. :) Our kiddos could put on a major fashion show, I think. ;)

Once when my son was 5 he dressed himself kind of like your kids. I told him he looked like a ragamuffin. He put his hands on his hips & said "Mom, have you ever stopped to think that maybe I like looking like a ragamuffin?" He had a point. He is now 26 years old. Still brings a smile to my face when I think about it. Thanks for reminding me of a great memory.

What sweet pics!! I used to hang matching pieces together in my seve year olds closet and he could pick whichever outfit he wanted but he never liked any of them. When I asked him why he said because they all match. He LOVES to wear plaid shorts with a striped shirt of completely different colors!

Ah, the joy of having boys :)

Adorable.

At least your kids are wearing your their clothes...or a siblings shoes.

Lately, what ever I buy the kids stays in their closet. I am not buying any thing new for them until they wear some thing besides a couple different out fits...

There I vented ...thanks!

I love the mismatched crocs the best! How cute! My daughter has a pair that are WAY too big on her, but I was trying to buy "up" so they would last longer. Instead she looks like a little ragamuffin. Oh well...kids' fashions are a lot more forgiving, right? :)

All of those little feet make me smile!! Especially the mis-matched ones. There is a reason kids keep you younger.:):)

My son has a love for rainboots, too. He's worn 2 pairs of Thomas boots (the train) and has worn both of them out. So precious.

Love your blog!

My little girl wears her shoes on the wrong feet all the time-if I switch them she will cry and say they aren't right. I know she was born with her left foot on her left left and her right foot on her right leg but you would think differently. How could that feel right?
Oh and 5 showings is GREAT. So do a quick run through in the morning and then leave the house-shop, pool, zoo, friends houses-stay away most days and you aren't constantly cleaning. Spend one or two days at home but there are all kinds of free things you can do-make a picnic lunch etc...

My kiddos love their rainboots. When Mr.Man was three he pretty much wanted to wear them every day rain or shy. The last week or so I found at Walmart a knockoff ugg boots on superclearance for the princess.. . Ever since she found them she has wanted to wear them. ..I will not let her wear them to summer school. .. but they made it to swimming lessons yesterday with only her swimsuit on and again today to the pool...

She is 5 and it is cute and it makes her happy ... I just need to remember to get a picture of it before she abandons this style.
