Okay, so first of all, I have to tell you that my dear Nikon D60 is back!! Healed and ready to par-tay! I got her back yesterday and ran around snapping photos of all of my accumulated projects! Hooray!!! New photos to come!!!
Now on to today's fun...
Do you all remember this shower curtain from Target?

I promised that I had something in mind for it... Here's what I did...
I made curtains for my Master Bedroom by cutting the shower curtain in half because I have two windows in my room, cutting the bottom 18" off (it wasn't long enough and I had something else in mind) and adding some of this great linen that I used for my n0-sew bedskirt pictured below.

Those "curtains" are GORGEOUS! I love them. What a great idea. I am currently trying to decide what to do in our master bedroom in the curtain department. I bought some curtains from Goodwill the other day but I haven't put them up to see if I will like them yet. Great project. You are so creative.
Gorgeous...just love those colors. cherry
That all looks awesome and inspires me! I love that pillow!
OK, that's so cute! Attic Gal Alysa has the same shower curtain!
You just gave me a great idea! Thank you. DH wanted a brown/turquoise look in the master but I haven't found a design I like. I'll have to be on the lookout for something like yours...
perfect, wendy!
i'm so impressed by your vision and your 'just do it-ness' - you're truly inspiring! (i sound like a broken record...!)
xoxo to you!
can't wait to see the 'after' pics of the completed job!

Chicky... that birdie room is looking fabulous! How nice to be reunited with your friend. Keep a click'n. I'll have before pics of my dresser redo... sort of a motivation to get them painted so I can get "after" pictures. Looking good! Trip planned yet? Looking forward to seeing you (between all of your wedding soiree's).

Great job! I was wonder what you were up to with that! Have you ever posted about the photos on the wall? I love them! I think I see scrap book paper and birds?!
Lovely!
I've thought about using shower curtains to make regular window curtains but just never had the courage to do so. Thanks for posting! :)
Great sewing project. I love the colors in your master.
Kris

The curtains and pillow look great! Thanks for the inspiration this morning, I still have that shower curtain all washed and folded up, just ready for a project. I think i'm going to do pillows. Hope you are having a great week!

Cute! I got your paypal email and will be paying you shortly. I need to wait til my husband gets home, I don't know the password! Also, we are going to be gone all next week. Could you mail the birdies at the end of next week so we are home to receive them? That would be great. Thanks again! I can't wait to see them.
Great job Wendy! Fabric is fabric...and you made great use of this shower curtain. I even keep my husband's old dress shirts, they are great fabric for projects.
~Misti

Oh how I love that shower curtain. I have it in my guest bathroom and I'm so glad I snatched it up at Target! :)
Yay girl! I LOVE what you did with it!!! Great job! I adore the linen with the birdies.
Love it!

LOVE it!! Those colors are great in a master bedroom...very soft and soothing. Fantastic job ---are the tops just ring clips?? (couldn't see very well) When you did your pillows, did you use a pillow form, or did you just stuff 'em? I am inspired! :)
seriously.... AWESOME. ~ kim
what a darling idea! And I see your 3 little prints on the wall, too - it's all so pretty! P.S. so happy you got your camera back! :)
I love it! What a fun fabric that is!! You know I love a pretty birdie! :) Your bedroom looks so pretty, you did a great job!
Okay ladies!! The shower curtain was from Target...but all sold out! I was lucky enough to have my good bloggy friend Stacy from 19Butternut send me one (Thanks again girl!!)
Amanda... Those pillows are just stuffed. I sometimes use pillow forms, but I am kind of a "by the seat of my pants" seamstress so stuffing pillows is easier because I don't have to worry about making them a certain size.
Love what you did with the shower curtain. So creative. I have the same curtain in my bathroom and I love it.
fab curtains & pillows :-)
bet you are glad to have the camera back!

wonderful job! I love this idea, you are so crafty! I think I need to learn to sew...:)
I love that shower curtain, obviously, but I love even more what you've done with it! So creative and really pretty. Glad you have your camera back - what a relief, huh?
that is gorgeous! do you think you could tell me where you go the shower curtain? i've been wanting to redo our bathroom. it's been the same since i got married and being a supportive wife, i let my husband choose. four years of safari has been long enough!:D thanks!
I love how it has all come together!!! Do tell about the no sew bed skirt! I am due for a new one very soon! :)
Great job! I used a shower curtain for my daughter's bedroom a few years ago and it turned out nice. Sheets and shower curtains are great!
Just wonderful. I love the shower curtain as curtains. Love the addition of a solid color at the bottom.
It all looks wonderful!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
You are truly a genius! I've used a shower curtain as a table cloth, but not curtains. Great idea!
Just beautiful! I love the pillow with the bird perfectly set in the middle. Love!
Definitely the cutest use for a shower curtain that I have ever seen! Lovely!
That is so darling! I'm crazy about the curtains and the pillow! Ü
good idea. The pillow has me going crazy, I just love the print.
The curtains are so pretty, now I know what to do for my room. Also what is the color on the walls? Thanks
Hi Mama...
I have to be honest...the color on the walls was here when we moved in. It's not as pretty as it looks in the photos and is going to be repainted soon. ;-)
Fabulous idea to use the bottom fabric from your curtain to make pillows! I bet it looks so cute and really ties the spaces together!
I have a shabby shower curtain curtain hanging in our guest room. No one can ever guess that it is a shower curtain! It even has the plastic piece along the holes for the rings at the top still on it. I just hung it with ribbon.
Your bedroom is just beautiful!! Love what you could do with a shower curtian!!
I love your shower curtain turned into those pillows!! I have that color all over my home too! I love your blog and was wondering if we could switch links? Thanks for the inspiration!!

Great idea for the shower curtain.
I like these color combos, the blues with beige, browns , white and blue.
I am about to redo our master and it is going to be some of those colors.
