A quick project for the laundry room~

Some of you might remember my laundry room remodel from a few months back. Well, I can't leave well enough alone. I am always tweaking. There are still some things I have on my list to do before the laundry room is "finished" (ha! like that word is really in my decorating vocabulary!) For instance, I would like to add a counter top above the washer and dryer.
But, that is not what I'm going to share today. (Had y'all a little excited to see a new counter didn't I?) Nope. My project for today is much simpler...but it is cute!

I just made me this little sign for the room. Typed up the definition of laundry and printed it out. That's not the fun part of this project. The fun part is the way I hung it up. I just clipped that little sign in a pant hanger and hung it from one of the shelf brackets. How. cute. is. that? So simple, but a great statement for the laundry room!

So run out and grab a pant hanger (I found 4 for $2.50 at the dollar spot at Target), and put up a picture, or a definition like mine, or anything that might make doing laundry a little more bearable!

I also wanted to thank Amy at Down South Musings for this great award!

Have a lovely Monday~

I love this. A little sophistication in the laundry room, or at least serious business!!

That really is so clever! I can't believe how cute the pants hanger works for a piece of art! Always thinking outside the box big sis. :)

Love your laundry room! How hard is it to pull the laundry machines out if they need work done on them? I've always wondered that when I see them set in what looks like cabinetry.

Your artwork is totally adorable! I love words everywhere in our house. Words make a statement and keep things interesting. Makes the kids read too! Thanks for sharing.

Astrid: Hi! I don't have a countertop in my bathroom yet, so I can't honestly answer the question of how difficult it is to pull them out. But my s-i-l has a counter, and it doesn't seem to be a problem for them...hope this helps.
And Jen R. good idea...I might just do that. ;-)

Top of the morn'n Wendy!

Loved the little drawers in that picture you shared. I'm already thinking of what I'd put in the... batteries, coins, lost dinosaurs... I love the definition. I might just do a wall of definitions: Laundry, Motherhood, FOREVER, Duty, Simplyfying, Exhaustion...

Great idea. Just love your blog. Must meet IRL someday... any chance you're pilgrimaging home this summer? I may end up making a trip as AZ heats up to the unbearable temperature of 115+.

Have a super day!

Soooo cute! That's such a fun idea.

I also love that photo from Cottage Living. I was actually thumbing through my old issues over the weekend (crying because I know I won't get any new ones anymore...well, I wasn't ACTUALLY crying) and I stumbled upon that photo. Very pretty.

Fabulous idea, I can think up so many applications for this! My laundry "space" in the basement is practically hopeless, but someday I'm going to try and pretty it up!

I love your inspiration laundry room picture because that is almost exactly what I've been telling my husband I want to do to my laundry room! :) Get front loaders and put a counter and a curtain over them. My laundry room and powder room are one and the same...so hiding the laundry facilities would be great!

I feel like I'm always asking you questions, but can you please tell me where you got the soap that's in your bath. The color is gorgeous and I like the bottle. I'm into soap, strange I know!
