Some of you may remember when I found this real live nest. It looks so sweet in it's little jar next to this darling bird print.
This birdie is in the Princess' room...hanging from her lamp. A toile bird...two of my favorite things in one...
And I found these darling little salt and pepper shakers at Target for only $5.99! I can't wait to use them at a Spring brunch...ooh, and on Easter! They make a lovely addition to my kitchen shelves. (And yes, I noticed that I typed my watermark wrong on the bottom picture of these little birds...I'm clever like that.)
Then today, what should come in the mail? But this beautiful, little, mercury glass bird from sweetheart Shannon over at Bless Our Nest! After reading my "Smitten" post, she saw this little beauty and thought I should have it! What a wonderful surprise! And she wrapped it in...what else?...the same TOILE wrapping paper I framed up for my 10-minute bathroom makeover. Does this girl get me or what? THANKS SHANNON!!!

Quite honestly? I never thought about adding birds to my home decor until I found blogs. Now I can't find any birds!!! I did hear some outside today that just warmed my heart. A sign of spring coming!

Love the birds! I ordered some bird prints from a fave etsy artist...I hope they come soon!
All your birds are precious! Especially your hand sewn one! :o) I too have a nest that a bird left behind and it is such a treasure to me. It reminds me of the time it took she and her beaux to stitch it together. :o)

I, too have a thing for birds! How can you resist those sweet creatures? My favorite thing is to watch them taking a bath~frolicking & splashing...I WANT A BIRDBATH FOR OUR YARD!!! (that's me throwing a trantrum~haha)
Those S&P shakers are so darlng, I'm going to get some of them for my mom. All your little birds are so sweet. :) have a good weekend!
Beautiful! I've been looking for some cute birdie things to put as accents in my younger daughter's room (her middle name is "Byrd."). Do you mind sharing how you add the lettering over your photos? Is that a Photoshop thing (one of those fancy programs we can't afford right now). ;)
Lucky.... I'm not cool beans enough yet for random gifts in the mail! Maybe someone would send me a new stain stick or fabric softener... I gotta blog about being smitten with something! What a dear Shannon is.
Oh, hang on to that toile birdie picture girl. I'm toiling it up in March. I think I'll do a 12 step series on being a toile-aholic. Okay, I'm a dork and it's way late here... gotta get up early for Choir and little chicky has a talk to give in church... that I need to help write.
Off to bed!

I love Shannon, she is such a sweetheart! I bought a little mercury bird, not too long ago...my clumsy-self broke it, as soon as I got it home. You and Shannon have both turned me on to birds and nests now...I can't go anywhere without noticing them and wanting to buy them! :)
Thanks for sharing your nest with us!
Enjoyed visitng your blog!

Darling birds you made! You're sure set for springtime now!!!
Thank you so much for the help with the lettering on the photos. I played around with it, and it's not as hard as I thought it was! It's always nice when a blogger takes the time to respond to comments. :) Have a great night!
