I'm a winner! and I made another tassel

A couple of weeks ago Gabrielle at Design Mom had a giveaway for some beautiful screenprints from Binth. Over 900 people entered, and I can't believe it, but I won!!!! Me. Really! I never win ANYTHING. I mean I. NEVER. WIN. ANYTHING! Seriously. So you can imagine how shocked I was when I found out that I won these beautiful prints. I waited until now to share my good fortune, because I didn't believe it until they actually arrived ;-) Check them all out!

It must have been that email I forwarded to my sisters about improving your karma. I never forward those things, but I liked this one, so I forwarded it to both of my sisters. It said my life would improve slightly if I forwarded it to between 1 and 5 people. There you have it. A slight improvement! I won a drawing! Only with these lovely prints, I think the improvement was more than slight. Thanks Gabrielle and Binth!

Now last week, some of you may recall, I attempted my first tassel. It turned out okay, but check out attempt #2! How cute is this little rooster? I heart him. I really went all out with the fringe this time, and I added some grosgrain ribbon. I'm really happy with the result. I had a lot of you tell me that making tassels is addictive. I can see it. I can really see it!

Have a super fantastic Columbus Day! Go do something fun...it is a holiday after all ;-)

Congratulations on your win! It's always SO fun to win a giveaway, especially when you are excited about the prize. :)

The rooster tassel looks great! One thing struck me when I was looking at the pictures though. Am I the only one that things the ribbon he is hanging from looks like a noose around his neck?! Or is my brain just extra morbid today? ;)

i still have the tassel making on my list to try. I have way too many things on my list to try! I never win anything either-I am trying to say-what a great ______ this will be in my house, when I enter. So far, it hasn't worked. But you give me hope! So-what are you going to do with your cutest win?

Congrats on the goodies & I absolutely love that tassel.
I'm afraid to start trying to make them - if they turn out I might have one hanging from every surface in my house.
Is there a tassel support group - just in case?

I am totally addicted to the tassel making myself. One day, I just thought, hey let's make a tassel and that fat tassel turned into five with more on the way!

IT looks really good. I really like the colors. Where is a good place to find animals like that. I'm inspired!!

Amber...a noose...hmmm...I hadn't thought of that. I prefer to think of it as a leash :)

And Kasey...I had this little rooster sitting around forever. I've actually been keeping my eyes open for little animals (birds and bunnies especially) and have yet to find any. Maybe someone can enlighten both of us ;)

I have posted some sources for the places I find things to tassel on BeTasseled - I hope that helps you! Your tassel is very cute. If your rooster is resin or plaster you can use a very small drill bit to make a hole for an eyelet, but he looks cast iron to me -am I right? Have fun tasseling - I'm sure you'll be as addicted as I am before too long!
