This is how it all began: For about the past year I have been having what I refer to as a "creative crisis". I felt compelled to create, and overwhelmed by the need to share it. My younger sister was after me to start a blog as a way for the two of us to keep up on one another's lives since we live quite literally on opposite ends of the country. So I started a family blog and it didn't take me long until I was hooked! I discovered all of you wonderful creative bloggers and I decided that this was the outlet I had been looking for.
So I decided to start a "creative blog" and the Shabby Nest was born! I am so grateful to have such wonderful readers who leave me such encouraging and uplifting comments! I love to look at all of your blogs and get my daily dose of inspiration, and I must say that my creative juices are flowing more than ever!!
So to thank you all for a great 50 posts, I'm giving away a decoupaged barn star!!! It's all done up in yummy chocolate brown with a touch of rosy pink damask! I hope you read these comments again because your profile had no contact info...I will do a tutorial on decoupaged barn stars in just a little while. I'm lucky in that I had a friend find a bunch of barn stars for me a couple of years ago at the Christmas Tree Shops...they were only 3.99 each for the big 18" stars! I'm assuming you're from Ohio and I know they don't have any Christmas Tree Shops that far west, but I got the one for this giveaway at Michael's Craft...it was more than $3.99 but it wasn't a lot more. Try looking at some craft stores in the Christmas section...that's where I find a lot of them. Good luck! :)
